JD&Co. Ltd (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the jdand.co website (the “Service”)

Why do we have a privacy policy?

JD&CO is committed to privacy for everyone who accesses the site. Under GDPR we must comply with certain regulations which are designed to ensure that any data you provide to us is processed with due care and attention.

What if I do not agree with this Privacy Policy?

If you do not agree to our processing of your data in the manner outlined in the Policy, please do not submit any personal data to us.

What sort of data do we collect? How will use it?

JD&CO collects personal data about you to help in the recruitment process. This data consists of information such as your name, address, e-mail address, work and education history plus your nationality, which we are required to collect by law. We also collect information in the aggregate to provide us with a better understanding of the users of our website as a group, but which does not contain personally identifiable information.

 

The personal data and sensitive personal data will be stored, processed, used and disclosed by us in the following ways:​

  • Provide our recruitment services to you, whether you are a client, candidate or a user of our website

  • Enable you to submit your CV, to apply for specific jobs or update your employment preferences

  • To maintain our business relationship, where you are a user of our website, a client or candidate

  • Provide information on suitable job opportunities to people who register with us, to match your profile with suitable job vacancies and to assist us in finding a position that is most suitable for you

  • Answer your query

  • To fulfil contractual obligations with our clients

 

Where we have your consent, we will also use your information to:

  • Send your personal information to clients in order to apply for jobs

  • Market products and services directly to your personal email address

Subject Access Request

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold for you on our systems. In order to receive this information, we will need verification of your identity. Please note that we will not provide the following types of information in response to a data access request: Information about other people; Opinions given in confidence; Repeat requests or privileged information. Other types of information may also be exempt under data protection laws (e.g. data relating to the commission of offences or estimates of damages).

Other Sources Of Data

We may also process information about you where it is available from public sources. For example, if you have a professional profile online we may combine that type of information with the information you provide directly to us.

How long will you hold my information for?

We are required by law to hold your information for as long as is necessary to comply with our statutory and contractual obligations and in accordance with our legitimate interests as a data controller.
We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that your Personal Data is maintained and up to date. However, you are under a duty to inform us of any and all changes to your Personal Data to ensure that it is up to date and we will update or delete your Personal Data accordingly.

Do we pass data to third parties?

Where necessary we may pass data to third parties that help us to process data and to prospective or intended employers or customers for the purpose of recruitment. This data may be transferred outside of the European Union. We may also share aggregate information with selected third parties but we do not disclose individual names or any identifying information.

How is this data safeguarded?

The security of your data is extremely important to us. Access to your personal data is only provided to our staff and third parties who help us to process data and, in order to help with the recruitment process, to prospective employers or customers.

How do we let you know if our policy changes?

Any policy changes, either due to business reasons or future changes in legislation, will be posted on this page and, if substantial, may be promoted on the website or through e-mail notification.

Purpose Statement (GDPR)

JD&CO Limited takes the privacy of our clients very seriously and is committed to high standards of data privacy, security and transparency.

JD&CO are engaged in introducing any and all changes needed to ensure adherence with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), when it comes into force on 25th May 2018 as per the guidance provided by the UK’s governing body, The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), including ensuring:

  • Data is obtained, and information is processed fairly

  • Data is kept safe and secure

  • Data is processed for its intended purpose

  • Data is not retained for longer than it is necessary

  • Individuals have the right to be forgotten

  • Provide a timely response & access to data for subject access requests
     

JD&CO will be complying with the GDPR as a data controller (and where relevant processor of data) and our GDPR Team are updating and implementing any necessary changes, including grounds for processing data, data retention, risk assessments, reporting systems, updated agreements with third party data  processors, security of data and training to our staff.
 

Our policies will be updated accordingly and communicated to users by May 2018.
