We are partnered with an exciting B2B Fintech company that has recently closed Series B funding and is now looking to scale the business on an international level. As they enter this exciting period of growth, they’re looking for a high energy, hands on but strategic CPO to join the senior team. Reporting to the Founder & CEO, this key hire will both set and execute on the people strategy, all whilst being a coach, leader and mentor to the people team and senior peers.

We’re looking for someone with innovative ideas around what kind of employer they can be, someone with their finger on the pulse on the future of work and someone who is not afraid to break the mould!

A natural people person with high levels of EQ and empathy, you will set the tone for leadership and lead the way on building a unique, engaging and ambitious culture as they scale at pace.

About the role:

  • Make Talent and Culture competitive advantages – ensure the business can attract and retain the best talent, and that they are engaged, excited about, and contributing to the achievement of the company mission.
  • Create an environment where people see themselves growing and developing, through training and development opportunities as well as career progression.
  • Embed a strong, supportive, positive culture across the business, which encourages and creates ambition and high performance.
  • Implement strong scalable People processes, ensuring that the business remains compliant with relevant requirements.
  • Help them to create world class leaders and managers through training, development and coaching interventions
  • Enable and drive the international growth of the business from a headcount perspective (both through organic and acquisition)
  • Provide strong contributions to the leadership team on People topics, including organisational structure and culture, but also more broadly on how they achieve their business goals.
  • Drive the hybrid working strategy of the business, striking the right balance of flexibility whilst also achieving the benefits of in person interactions.
  • Own and drive the definition and implementation of the Employer Value Proposition
  • Build out a high performing People function that is fully equipped to support the organisation through each phase of growth

About you:

  • Someone who has led a People function in a high growth scale-up business (or played a senior role under the CPO)
  • The ability to guide and influence the company strategy based on People and Culture.
  • Experience of defining and implementing a culture for a rapidly scaling organisation.
  • You’ve managed international expansions both through organic growth and acquisitions, in Europe and beyond
  • A strategic and credible leader who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and get into the detail – you will have an amazing people team to work with, but the senior team all ‘do’ as well as lead
  • A high energy, charismatic leader who will build engagement through their interactions and comms with the team
  • Scrappy and tenacious! They have an exciting journey ahead and there is a lot to do; they want someone who is up for the challenge and ready to give it their all
